What are some good bath accessories to make for my mum?

Its my mums birthday in 3 weeks and every year its a card and a lolly a present. This year I want to make her a hamper of bath bombs, bath salts ect.


Does anyone have any good ideas of what else to put in and recipes on how to make it? Eg.Soaps and creams not foodWhat are some good bath accessories to make for my mum?

I assume that you would like to keep things as cheap as possible, therefore I give a few easy recipes with ingredients you should already have in the house. You might have to buy a tiny bottle of essential oil and/or food coloring.





Vanilla essence will produce a very nice smell and also a soft caramel shade. Most women and men love the sweet smell of vanilla.





Use the same essential oil and food coloring in everything so that all the fragrances will work together and everything will match in color also.





Bath Salts:


Buy coarse salt you use in the dishwasher, add just a FEW DROPS food coloring and some essential oil like rose, lavender, grapefruit or whatever you think you mom will like. Throw it into a nice glass jar.





Thick Body Lotion:


Buy a tub of Aqueous cream, add some vegetable or technical oil and some of the same essential oil you used for the bath salts. Decant it into a nice wide mouthed glass jar.





Body Scrub:


Mix equal amounts of white sugar and any vegetable oil (olive, sunflower, almond, grape etc) in a wide mouthed jar. Color with food coloring and add essential oil for fragrance.





Bath Oil:


Pour technical oil in a nice tall glass bottle, color with vegetable coloring and add essential oil for fragrance.





Add organza ribbons to the jars and bottles to match the food color you used. Arrange everything in a box/basket/tray/etc and cover with cellophane in a matching color. Add a flower or ribbon and a nice hand written card.





Mom will love it (and you too) and it won't cost you an arm and a leg. Enjoy yourself while making it.
